Chancel Bell Choir
We invite you to come and try out SUCC’S Chancel Bell Choir. Hand bells add brilliance to a worship service like no other instruments can. This is a fun and exciting way to express your faith in God. The ability to read music is helpful but not necessary. Those of us who read music will help those who don’t as we learn to work and “play” together. We invite everyone (high school age and up) who loves music to give the Chancel Hand Bell choir a try. The Hand Bell Choir helps in leading worship at the 10:00 am service approximately once each month. Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings from 11:15 am to 12:15 in the sanctuary beginning on Sunday, October 17th. If you have any questions please contact Lori Bitz, Chancel Bell Choir Director.
Choirs
We invite everyone who loves to sing, from High School age on up to be a part of Sylvania UCC’s Chancel Choir. The Chancel Choir leads music at the 10:00 worship service each Sunday. We will sing a wide variety of musical styles from gospel to global to traditional. This is a fun and inspiring way to share your faith by offering our musical gifts together to the glory of God. This December the Chancel Choir will present Handel’s Christmas Messiah with chamber orchestra. Chancel Choir rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary beginning on Wednesday, October 6th. The choir will continue to sing with masks at rehearsals and Sunday services. All women who love to sing are invited to be part of the Sylvania UCC Treble Choir. This is a woman’s vocal group which sings at the 10:00 worship service. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary beginning on October 6th.
